LANCASTER, Pa. (January 14, 2009) — Two cardiologists from The Heart Group are among the first physicians in the nation to be certified as diplomates of the Certification Board of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (CBCCT). Ajay Rai Marwaha, M.D., and Ron Mathew Jacob, M.D., passed the organization's examination to "document their skills and
knowledge in the field of cardiovascular computed tomography."
Having recently completed a two-year advanced cardiac imaging fellowship at Cleveland Clinic Heart Center, Dr. Jacob was recruited by some of the finest cardiology practices in the nation. He is one of a select few cardiologists in the country to receive Level III training in echocardiology, cardiac CT and cardiac MRI, as well as Level II training in nuclear cardiology, and he has attained an exceptional level of proficiency in each imaging modality. Dr. Jacob is board-certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and in nuclear cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology.
